Various Scenes From Our First Couple of Weeks of School

These are not in any particular order. Our year has been going well so far. We haven't really done a lot of exciting work but here is just a glimpse at what we have done. Ian has spend time playing some Hooked On Phonics games on the computer.

Momo did an experiment to see how wind effects currents. Kristen helped her out with it.

They were each blowing to make the "currents" in the dish of water. The pepper was added to make the movement more visible.

Aaron took a break to comfort Jacey. He will make a good daddy one day!

Our neighbors surprised us with a watermelon from their garden so we celebrated the first week of school with that!

Our frog babies are growing!!

This is Splash...

and here is Superman.

Penelope is the biggest one! Here she is diving back to the bottom!

The feeding frenzy!

I did some baking one afternoon, whole wheat bread, rolls and cinnamon rolls!!

YUMMY!!

Momo spotted a rainbow while playing outside with some neighbor friends.

Kristen reading her literature.

Momo working on some of the mini books for science.
Aaron also did an experiment for chemistry.
Spelling......

I am always surprised with different pictures when I upload pictures from my memory card. Kristen was playing with the black and white setting and took these.

Some more time on the computer playing on Noggin for Ian.

He also played some file folder games.

Morgan was doing a little bit of geography and she wanted to share it with Ian.

More mini books for her science lap notebook. We are really enjoying her science this year.

Kristen working on a math lesson.

Morgan is learning American History. She was working on a crossword puzzle in her history workbook.

Aaron worked on drawing his first geometric design for geometry!
The finished design.

Ian just being cute. This was the day before his haircut! He was a little shaggy looking.

We dump food scraps outside on the burn pile. Well, I guess buzzards like rice and lima beans because this guy stayed out there and at them all up!

So, with a little of this and a little of that......you have our first two weeks of school!

Looks like y'all are moving along nicely. Hannah had a rough start in Geometry this year, but we have stopped using Abeka for her Math. She did not like it at all. Her science is Biology and she is loving it. I don't even want to begin Chemistry. Oh well, that won't be until next year.
